The purpose of my role is to develop and implement internal communications strategies to support employee engagement and enhance NASB's company culture. I work on initiatives such as the quarterly newsletters, organization-wide executive communications, town halls and more. I work closely with the HR team to identify ways to connect with employees at all stages of the employee lifecycle, and have implemented strategies such as new hire welcome cards and a nomination-based formal recognition program. I also lead the NASB fun committee, which is dedicated to bringing "just for fun" activities to the workplace on a regular basis.

I was responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of marketing strategies and initiatives to enhance community and corporate partnerships and achieve company goals.
I coordinated and implemented various sponsor marketing assets and initiatives such as email campaigns, digital display graphics, event activations, social media campaigns and more. Upon completion of a campaign, I prepared and distributed recap reports and assessed campaign effectiveness to identify opportunities for improvement.
I also served as the primary contact for all external partners, tenants and internal departments. I wrote and distributed mass communications to all parties on a regular basis, and maintained ongoing contact lists.

In this role, I was primarily responsible for the planning and execution of events for the Power & Light District and Kansas City Live! Block. I planned and coordinated event logistics with internal and external parties including vendor negotiations, vendor management, creation and distribution of event promotional materials, event layouts, event timelines, event staffing and operations, post-event evaluations and more.
I was also responsible for generic event marketing tasks, such as collateral creation and distribution.

The overall purpose of my role was to increase brand awareness, create positive publicity and increase foot traffic and sales for The District in downtown Columbia.
I developed partnerships with community groups and organizations to further promote The District brand utilizing events, external media, social media and email marketing. I was responsible for content creation and management of The District's social media channels and related digital marketing campaigns, including the website and weekly e-newsletter. I also managed the external media buying contract, and ensured that all media deadlines were met and proper creative materials were provided.
I planned and executed The District's signature marketing events, and I successfully created and executed two new events, Restaurant Week and The Wedding Stroll, in my time at The District.
